The Fat Radish

Name: The Fat Radish
What I love: The restaurant is located in a former sausage factory in chinatown and still boasts many of the original details. Exposed brick walls and floors, clean white subway tiles, wood and reclaimed pieces come together to create a beautiful backdrop to the seasonal dishes being put out by british chefs Ben Towill, Phil Winser, Raymond Blanc and Rick Stein. (check out their catering company, Silkstone).

Soho House; New York

Name: Soho House
Location: New York, meatpacking district
Designer: Ilse Crawford of Studioilse
What I love: Is it inappropriate for me to say 'everything'? This hotel and restaurant first came onto my radar three years ago while researching custom fabrication for a current project/client. I fell in love with the green-high-gloss-community-table and every image since has simply increased this lust. The space has a great balance between raw and refined with a mix of designer, custom, and found pieces splashed about for good measure. I can't wait to sit on the 39ft chesterfield sofa and take a dip in the stunning rooftop pool. Now to become a member so I can make all of my design dreams come true.

10 Arts Bistro & Lounge

Name: 10 Arts Bistro & Lounge
Location: Philadelphia, PA.
What I Love: The fact that I was able to work on this project as an intern helps a bit but I also love how seamlessly the modern design works with its historic home. Add the bright colors and great food by Eric Ripert (and head chef Jennifer Carroll) and you have a sure-fire win in my book.

La Corde a Linge

Name: La Corde a Linge (aka The Clothesline)
Location: La Petite France, in Strasbourg
Designer: My Beautiful (Design & Graphics)
What I Love: The beauty and simplicity they created in both the interior and branding of the space. The concept has been carried through well and doesn't over (or under.)whelm. The contrast between light and dark as well as the broad range of finishes and fixtures creates visual interest and wonderful texture. The entire space feels clean and calm, exactly what comes to mind when thinking about laundry.

Longman & Eagle

Name: Longman & Eagle
Location: Chicago, IL
Designer: Peter Toalson (Co-owner, Empty Bottle) & Robert McAdams
What I love: The entire 'farm to table, nose to tail' cuisine served in a warm, rich and intimate setting. The space is dimly lit, great for a romantic dinner but also works well for the classic bar feel and whisky flights. The restaurant also features an 'inn' located above with six small rooms featuring reclaimed wood, apple tv's, and just enough of an i-dont-give-a-damn vibe to make it the complete opposite of your traditional boutique hotel.

The House Hotel

Name: The House Hotel Galatasaray
Location: Istanbul, Turkey
Architect: Unknown, built in the 1890's as a 4-story mansion
Design: Autoban
What I love: The traditional architecture paired with just the right amount of modern touches makes the entire space feel effortlessly chic. The amount of contrast between the ornate architectural details, rustic wood accents, rich leather and creamy white.

I love the way the geometric shapes on the ceiling mirror the floor
